A catch-all email mailbox is one that captures all the messages sent to nonexistent email addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you will never miss messages because the other party has an outdated address or has made a spelling error. The downside of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving lots of spam email messages, but this issue can be solved by using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also crucial to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot forward inbound email messages to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all mailbox easily in case you’ve got a hosting plan with us. The Email Manager tool in our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet incredibly simple to use, and it will enable you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with no more than several mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you have set up will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each one you will notice a tiny "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will enable the feature, clicking it for a second time will deactivate it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this option activated or if you have active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will allow you to create a catch-all e-mailbox without effort even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you need to do to accomplish that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you’ve created with your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will inform you if you have already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. In case you reach the decision that you do not need this feature any longer, you can deactivate it by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
